Tutor, Test Prep and Academic Subjects
I enjoy staying active through running and basketball, and I value quality time with loved ones and opportunities to travel. A lifelong basketball fan, I wish I had more time to attend games in person. I earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Washington and Lee University, which sharpened my analytical skills, and later completed my MBA at UCLA Anderson on a full scholarship. My background includes roles as a software developer, SAT tutor, and coding instructor for underserved youth through Coded by Kids in Philadelphia. I’ve also worked in venture capital and with CCB as a Math and SAT tutor, combining my technical expertise and business insight with hands-on educational experience.
Tutoring gives me the chance to witness students grow in confidence—especially in math, where a mindset shift can transform academic outcomes. One of my most formative academic moments came when I convinced my university to let me into a capstone business course outside my major; my team ultimately placed second in a school-wide pitch competition. That experience reminded me of the value of self-advocacy and passion. I’m currently interested in creating educational content for digital platforms and one day hope to become a sports tourism influencer in the Caribbean through my project, BACKCOURT. Few people know I was the 5th fastest 7-year-old in the U.S. in the 400m, an early lesson in discipline and resilience that continues to shape me today.
