Josh Nierle
Executive Level Tutor
Josh Nierle holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in political science with a concentration in political theory and has been tutoring at Clayborne since 2019. Outside the academic world, he enjoys reading, hiking, walking his dog, and spending time with friends. Josh thrives in one-on-one learning environments, where he can tailor his instruction to each student’s unique style. He finds this individualized approach far more effective than classroom settings and is passionate about helping students reach their potential through meaningful, personal engagement.
One of Josh’s most formative educational experiences came in an undergraduate political theory class taught by a demanding professor. Though the course was initially overwhelming, it proved pivotal—both in shaping his worldview and in reinforcing his belief that he could thrive in challenging environments. Deeply inspired by his Christian faith, Josh also has an unusual fascination with the fall of the Roman Republic, which became the subject of his master’s thesis. While not one to chase career milestones or formal training, he remains intellectually curious and driven by a love for deep ideas and personal growth.
